  • Week #1 - ProBlend System

"The Midwest Sport & Turf Systems team is excited to partner with Wisconsin Lutheran High School this summer for the installation of a new state of the art synthetic turf systems for all students and athletes to use for many years to come.

The Wisco project is special to me as I grew close with numerous alumni in my college days at Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) in Mankato, Minn.  My classmates at BLC expressed their pride and love for the Wisco educational community with fond memories while building deep Christian values. Wisco will have elite facilities that will turn heads when they drive by campus!"

Vice President, Sales, Midwest Sport & Turf Systems

  • Week #2 - Hobart Coated Fieldturf Track

The WLHS running track will be finished with Beynon Sports’ specialized Hobart Texture, which locks the EPDM granules in place with an exclusive polyurethane binder and water based aliphatic coating. The texture significantly improves the surface durability and offers an unmatched performance experience.

The system is installed in two layers. First a force reduction layer of two-component polyurethane intermixed with cryogenically ground fine mesh SBR rubber is poured on the foundation and is covered with a wear layer of two-component polyurethane and EPDM granules. Then the Hobart texture is sprayed on the surface to complete the installation.

  • Week #3 - Strength & Conditioning Coach Matt Zeitler

"There are very few, if any, high schools in Wisconsin that have a dedicated full time strength and conditioning coach. My position is unique, most sport coaches only coach a team or two and will only interact with those athletes. I interact with almost every athlete on campus as well as other students. I am a part of every coaching staff here at WLHS. Almost every team is training in season. The weight room was seen as just a space for 'boys football,' but now it includes more girls and every sport training."

"I am here to build relationships with students, build confidence, and help them reach their goals/potential. We are reducing the risk of injury. Strength and speed training is what will help Wisco athletics reach the next level."

    — Matt Zeitler ('14)

Building on the Legacy

WLHS outdoor athletic fields have always been a training ground for students to grow, serve and lead. One of the most important ways that training takes place is through Christian coaches, teachers, and directors.

Building on the Legacy campaign will go towards:

  • Install artificial turf on both the main field and multipurpose field
  • Add & improve auxiliary energy efficient LED lighting
  • Replace the current track with a full polyurethane poured track
  • Build a 24’ x 24’ athletic trainer facility with additional storage
  • Add batting cages for softball and baseball
  • Increase parking by more than 40%
  • Support a full-time strength and conditioning coach
