The girls basketball team concluded its season with a 54-45 loss at Whitefish Bay in the regional semifinals. The Lady Vikings trailed by five at halftime and stayed within striking distance of the Blue Dukes for most of the way before the hosts pulled away down the stretch. 

Jayla Rankin led the team with 16 points. The evening marked the final game at WLHS for seniors Grace Frey, Malia Lee (four points) and Sydney Mueller (eight points).

The Wisco girls basketball team won its opening-round playoff game in emphatic fashion, defeating Milwaukee Lutheran by a score of 82-49 on Tuesday night at WLHS.

The Lady Vikings opened up a 40-24 halftime lead and never looked back, outscoring the Red Knights 42-25 in the second half.

Jayla Rankin scored 20 points to lead four Vikings in double figures. Ally Rhyner added 14 points, Jazzmine Smith scored 11, and Laila Hamiel had 10 points.

With the win, the team advances to the regional semifinals. They travel to Whitefish Bay to face the Blue Dukes on Friday, February 12.

Pius XI defeated Wisco 69-18 in the final Woodland Conference game of the season. The Lady Vikings were held to just four points in the second half.

Eight players scored in all for the team, led by Jayla Rankin with four points.

The Lady Vikings host Milwaukee Lutheran in a crossover game at Christ, Pewaukee on Thursday, February 4.

New Berlin West defeated the Lady Vikings on Friday night by a score of 48-34.

Wisco hosts West on Friday, January 29, at their new "home" of Christ Lutheran in Pewaukee.

Pewaukee defeated the Lady Vikings on Friday night by a score of 65-32. The Pirates led 40-17 at halftime.

Jayla Rankin led Wisco with 13 points. Noel Greene added 11 for the Lady Vikings.

The team travels to New Berlin West on Tuesday, January 26, for a 7 PM game.

Hartford defeated the Vikings in girls basketball on Saturday afternoon. The Orioles won the non-conference affair 67-48 at WLC.

The Pewaukee girls defeated Wisco on the hardcourt by a score of 63-39 on Friday night. The Pirates opened up a 44-17 halftime lead.

Wauwatosa West bested the Lady Vikings basketball team on Saturday afternoon, prevailing 54-42 at Tosa West.

The Trojans led 26-22 at halftime. Jayla Rankin led Wisco with 10 points. Malia Lee and Ally Rhyner added nine apiece.

The Vikings host Pewaukee on Friday, January 15.

Greendale knocked off the Viking girls basketball team on Friday night by a score of 52-41.

Noel Greene and Jayla Rankin led Wisco with nine points apiece. Sydney Mueller added eight and Malia Lee scored six.

The Lady Vikings are at Wauwatosa West on Saturday afternoon. Tip off is set for 3:00 PM.

The Lady Vikings basketball team played another nailbiter, but unfortunately came up on the short end again, falling to Greendale 51-49 on Tuesday night.

Wisco led 28-27 at the half, but the Panthers slipped by them in the second half, outscoring them 24-21.

A tight game marked the start of 2021 for the Wisco girls basketball team, but in the end, visiting Menomonee Falls escaped with a 50-48 win on Saturday night.

Falls overcame a halftime deficit to take the lead in the second half. Sydney Mueller connected on a three-pointer with about 20 seconds left to put the Lady Vikings on top, but the Phoenix made some free throws down the stretch to give them the victory.

Kaylin Allen led six Vikings in double-figures with 19 points. Eden Rader added 16, Sydney Mueller and Layla Hamiel poured in 12 apiece, and Ally Rhyner and Noel Green each scored 10 points.

Wisco plays the Bulldogs again on Friday night, this time at West Allis Central. Game time is 7 PM.
