  • Seniors Appreciate Their Strengths

    Seniors are coming closer to their graduation date.  As they prepare to leave WLHS and enter university, it is a good time for them to reflect on what they have learned and who they are.  One way they did that recently was through the CliftonStrengths Assessment and a special presentation.  The school provided the senior students in the WLHS Residential Program with the assessment to learn more about their personality, skills, and talents.  Guest speaker Emily Krill, a writer and university life coach, led a workshop on how they are uniquely gifted, and how to use their Strengths for success as future college students.

  • Dormitory Hosts Easter Celebration

    Before the Spring break, the Residential Activities Committee (RAC) organized an Easter party for all students residing in the dormitory as well as special Ecuadorian guests visiting for a short program at WLHS.

  • WLHS Hosts Spring Camp for Students from Ecuador

    WLHS hosted ten students and one adult chaperone from Ecuador for a two-week spring camp. Some of the many activities they experienced have included a tour of the city of Milwaukee, an Admirals hockey game, Easter party with our dorm students, Wisconsin dairy farm experience, Milwaukee Art and Public Museums, Sky Zone trampoline park, Great Wolf Lodge waterpark, and much more.

    New Year parties aren't limited to a countdown on the evening of December 31! WLHS recently hosted a global New Year party to celebrate New Year traditions from around the world.   • DIY Flower Arranging at Honey Creek Hall

    Students at Honey Creek Hall organized a weekend event focused on do-it-yourself (DIY) flower arrangements, brightening their living space with some spring colors. The students assembled vibrant bouquets and also crafted personalized cards to gift to their friends. The organizers, seniors Gene Kantakanishtha and Minori Higashi, hoped to give their classmates a break from routine, enjoy some social interaction, and brighten up the winter atmosphere.

  • Annual Milwaukee Bucks NBA Game

    Students in the WLHS Residential Program enjoyed their annual trip to attend a professional basketball game. On January 13, the hometown Milwaukee Bucks defeated the popular Golden State Warriors in a close match. After the game, the WLHS group enjoyed the special opportunity of walking onto the court and each getting a chance to take a shot at the free throw line.

  • Weekend Winter Fun

    January had its moments of cold and snow, but students were able to enjoy some fun indoor activities to help fight the cabin fever. One group went to watch the Wave, Milwaukee’s professional indoor soccer team, who defeated the Dallas Sidekicks in an exciting match. Another group sang their favorite songs at their own private karaoke suite. Upcoming trips include ice skating, a trampoline park, and a professional hockey match.

  • Blessing of the Singapore Flag

    WLHS held a blessing of the flag ceremony during chapel on January 29. Joanne Lee ('25), our international student from Singapore, carried her home country's flag, which WLHS Conference President Rev. Dr. Ken Fisher blessed. Joanne, who transferred to Wisco at the beginning of this semester, is the first student from Singapore to attend our school.
