WELS Calls Update

The following is an update on the calls that were received and extended at WLHS:
  • Mr. David Gartner and Dr. James Carlovsky declined the calls to serve as principal.
  • Mr. Joel Plocher and Mr. Dave Tess declined the calls to teach engineering courses and direct Project Lead the Way.
  • Ms. Elizabeth Schwartz declined the call to serve as dorm supervisor.
  • Rev. Heath Butler declined the call to Bethany Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, Wis.
  • Mr. Ben Carlovsky declined the call to serve as teacher and principal at CrossLife Christian Academy, Pflugerville, Texas.
  • Rev. Dr. Phil Huebner ('99) declined the call to serve as pastor at Grace Lutheran Church, Waukesha.
  • Mr. Peter Iles declined the call to serve as Development Director at Fox Valley Lutheran High School, Appleton, Wis.
  • Mr. Mark Moldenhauer declined the call to teach and coach at St. Croix Lutheran Academy, West St. Paul, Minn.
  • Ms. Tanya Tranberg declined the call to teach and coach at Arizona Lutheran Academy, Phoenix, Ariz.
On January 8, the WLHS Board of Directors extended calls to:
  • Mr. Landon Zacharyasz to serve as principal. Mr. Zacharyasz is the principal at Mt. Olive Lutheran School in Appleton, Wis.
  • Mr. Paul Habermann to teach engineering courses and direct Project Lead the Way. Mr. Habermann is a teacher at St. Matthew's Lutheran School in Oconomowoc, Wis.
The following WLHS teacher has received a call:
  • Mr. James Brandt received a call to serve as Executive Director for Fox Valley Lutheran Schools in Appleton, Wis.
