Boys Varsity Basketball Team Headed to State!

Congratulations to our varsity boys basketball team and their coaches who are headed to the WIAA State semifinals in Madison on Friday, March 15. Their most recent 80-59 win over Racine Park last Saturday at Burlington earned our Vikings a sectional championship and the State semifinal berth.

Our semifinal opponent on Friday is Nicolet High School from Glendale. Game time is 1:35 p.m. at the Kohl Center (601 W. Dayton Street) in Madison. Our thanks to the Milwaukee Fire Department who will provide a fire engine escort of our team bus to the freeway when they leave at 11:00 a.m. We are also pleased to announce that senior Ella Westphal will sing the national anthem before the game against Nicolet.

At the sectional game against Racine Park, Kon Knueppel ('24) recorded the first known triple-double in school history with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. His 12 assists are a single-game school record. The Vikings established a new school record with their 28th consecutive win and improved to a cumulative 4-3 record in sectional final games.
