Dick and Lorraine Raabe were an integral part of WLHS and its ministry from the beginning. Class of 1941 graduates of Lutheran High School, Dick served as the youngest member of the planning and building committee for WLHS in the 1950s. Dick and Lorraine started a four-generation tradition of sending their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to WLHS.
Their example of stewardship and servant leadership for more than 60 years has served as a model for many. Due in part to their vision and commitment, the ministry of WLHS has grown in its ability to nurture and reach out to the youth of southeastern Wisconsin and beyond with the message of Jesus.
Through the Richard G. and Lorraine Raabe Legacy Society, the WLHS Foundation honors and recognizes friends and alumni who have endowed family scholarships and many other areas of the ministry of WLHS.
