New Student Orientation Day - Wednesday, August 13
New Student Orientation Day takes place on Wednesday, August 13, and is considered a mandatory school day for all new WLHS students, freshman through senior.
The day begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and concludes at 12:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 a.m., and students are encouraged to arrive early. Lunch will be provided at no cost and includes a chicken sandwich, fries, fruit, vegetable, and milk.
Orientation Day activities include:
- Running through a shortened class schedule (15-minute classes)
- Attending class meetings in the auditorium with important info from teachers and administrators
- Touring the cafeteria to review lunch procedures
- Participating in fun “icebreaker” activities
- Enjoying lunch with teachers
- Taking student yearbook photos (available for purchase – click here for photo information)
Our goal is for all new students to leave orientation feeling confident, connected, and ready for the first full day of school!
