Viking-2-Viking: Careers in the Trades
The Viking-2-Viking Program, spearheaded by the WLHS Young Alumni Leaders Council (YALC), hosted a presentation on Wednesday, November 3, from Wisco alumni in the trades. Interested juniors and seniors had a chance to hear and ask questions from:
- Charlie Falkner ('92) Foreman, Prime Industrial
- Mike Dibb ('97) CNC Manager, Tool and Die Maker
- Holly Wintrone ('16) Electrician Apprentice, Roman Electric
The panel of presenters spoke about selecting the proper course work in high school, communication skills between employees and engineers, as well as the discovery process when pursuing a specific trade (plumbing, electrical, metal work, etc.). We appreciate our alumni coming back to give real world advice to our students!
