The Wisco softball team improved to 8-2 on the season after sweeping a doubleheader from Pius on Tuesday afternoon at Kulwicki Park. The Vikings, ranked #9 in the state in Division 2, won the first game 14-8 and the second game 7-0 in five innings.
Sydney Vitangcol shut down the Lady Popes in Game 2, striking out 11 and allowing just two hits in a five-inning complete game. She walked just one and contributed at the plate by going 2-2 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.
Eden Rader blasted a two-run home run to center in the third inning, Emily Buch went 2-2 with two runs batted in, and Chloe Koschnitzke and Sofia Schroeder each drove in runs to aid the Wisco effort.
The Vikings host New Berlin Eisenhower on Thursday, April 28, at Rainbow Park.
