Offense was in short supply on Monday afternoon when the #9 Vikings locked up with #10 Whitnall at Rainbow Park. Fortunately for Wisco, they managed just enough, and Sydney Vitangcol kept the Falcons off the board completely in a 1-0 win.
Vitangcol was nearly unhittable in the circle, striking out 15 and allowing one walk while surrendering just two hits in a complete-game effort. Both teams were scoreless until the bottom of the 6th. With two away, Emily Buch singled to right and took second on a fielding error. Katie Meyer cashed in the opportunity, lining a single to score Buch with the game's only run.
The Vikings' record now stands at 10-2. Weather permitting, they will travel to Arnold Klentz Park on Tuesday to take on West Allis Central.
