The Viking softball team captured both ends of a doubleheader against Greendale on Tuesday at the WLC Athletic Complex. Wisco routed the Panthers in Game 2 by a score of 17-0 in five innings.
Sydney Vitangcol shut Greendale down, hurling five scoreless innings and recording all 15 outs via strikeout. She allowed just three hits and surrendered no walks. Vitangcol also enjoyed a 3-3 day at the plate with four RBI, four runs scored, and a pair of bases on balls. She was one of five Vikings to record multiple hits and one of four to drive in multiple runs. Sofia Schroeder and Emily Buch collected three hits apiece, and Emily Buch and Kylie Bilitz each had two hits. Schroeder and Rader also each drove in three runs, with Buch driving in a pair.
The Vikings host New Berlin West on Thursday in a showdown between the top two teams in the Woodland West. Game time is 4:30 PM at the WLC Athletic Complex.
