Handbook Updates
Every year WLHS makes revisions to the parent and student handbook. We draw attention to some of the changes in dress code and cell phone/technology for the 2022-23 school year:
- leggings may NOT be worn,
- biker shorts/spandex shorts may NOT be worn,
- smart watches may not be worn during the school day,
- recording of fights or other infractions for the purposes of sharing on social media or in any way promoting behavior that is contrary to Christian standards is subject to discipline
Students who violate any part of the dress code will not be allowed to return to class until the dress code rules are met. Violation of the dress code rules results in these consequences:
• First offense: a detention
• Second offense: a detention
• Third offense: a one day suspension
• Fourth offense: extended suspension with a potential for removal from WLHS
Please note: The school reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of a student’s dress or appearance. The final decision will be determined by an Assistant Principal. If during the course of a school year a new clothing style or trend emerges that school administration determines is inappropriate or contrary to our mission and values, that style or trend will be prohibited.
