Our food service, Taher, periodically sends an executive chef to their sites. We are pleased to welcome Chef John Sugimura, a Japanese-raised, Minnesota-born, second generation professionally trained sushi chef and a graduate of the prestigious Sushi Institute of America in Little Tokyo. He is working with our kitchen staff to introduce Japan's iconic street food to our students and staff, including Gyoza dumplings, Yakisoba, and Karaage Don. Chef Sugimura is also working with our Food Tech and ProStart students during their classes and sharing his knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
