Viking Steel Members Perform at 2023 Pan Alive
Seven former and current Viking Steel members with Director Quinten Petersen attended 2023 Pan Alive, a steel pan competition connected with the Toronto Caribana Festival. The Viking Steel group performed at Pan Alive with Pan Masters, a steel pan group from Hope Lutheran Church in Toronto, led by WELS member Tommy Crichlow. Out of seven bands, Pan Masters took home second place at the Festival.
Hope Lutheran Church member, Arthur Soman, has been a friend and supporter of Viking Steel and helped bring the program to Wisco. Our thanks to everyone from Hope Lutheran Church who made this trip, practice space, and experience possible!
