WLHS Standout Zavier Zens ('26) Signs with UNI Men's Basketball

Wisconsin Lutheran High School is proud to celebrate senior Zavier Zens, who has officially signed with the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) men’s basketball program as part of their 2026 recruiting class.

Zavier joins UNI as a highly recruited three-star guard/forward, ranked the No. 1 player in Wisconsin in the 2026 class by PrepHoops.com. Under WLHS head coach Ryan Walz ('92), he has earned numerous accolades, including First Team All-State, Woodland West Conference Player of the Year, and back-to-back WIAA State Championships. Last season, he led the entire state in three-point shooting at 51%, averaging 22.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
In addition to these accomplishments, Zavier becomes one of only three players in WLHS history to go directly from Wisco to a Division I men’s basketball program, marking a rare and exceptional achievement.

UNI head coach Ben Jacobson praised Zavier’s versatility, efficiency, and competitive spirit, noting that “his size, skill, and feel for the game allow him to impact winning in so many different ways… He lives in the gym and will add to our program’s work ethic and culture from day one.”

Congratulations to Zavier and his parents, Greg Zens and Kami Davis, on this outstanding milestone. WLHS is excited to cheer him on at the next level!
