This past week, freshmen and sophomores set up accounts in Career Locker, an informational program that helps students and parents plan for their future educational needs by: providing assessments, suggesting future careers in their interest areas, and giving college information. After connecting their interest areas with likely careers, students were shown how to explore many careers and how to save that information for future use in their e-portfolio.
The program offers suggested helpful high school coursework to prepare for post-secondary education and then gives major areas of study for students in reaching their career goals.
Juniors and seniors are especially encouraged to look into the educational part of Career Locker. Parents can explore this program with their student by going to their OnCampus account, selecting “Resources” then finding and clicking on “Guidance,” followed by “Career Locker” (formerly known as WisCareers.) Students must know their login and password to access the program.
