In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Culture Month (Sept 15-Oct 15), the student body participated in the first annual Hispanic Heritage morning assembly program. Sr. Pascual Rodriguez, former Los Angeles Angels prospect and current Executive Principal at La Casa De Esperanza Charter School in Waukesha, spoke on the topic "Why Not Me?" He emphasized that circumstances do not dictate your future, rather your choices do.
The program included monologues from our Hispanic students about their family traditions and community support. Small groups also sang a few musical selections. Prof. Hernandez reminded the student body of our Great Commission calling. To date, there have been nine Hispanic countries (including Puerto Rico) represented in our student body.

Many thanks to students, parents, volunteers, and our keynote speaker who made this program possible and so well received.
