The Viking baseball team opened up conference play yesterday with their third straight come from behind victory. This time they rallied with three runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game at 5 and followed that up with 4 runs in the top of the 8th to win 9-5 over Hartford and improve to 1-0 in conference and 4-1 overall.
The Vikings were led at the plate by Kyle Ristow going 3 for 5 with 4 RBI's and Caleb Bilitz going 2-2. On the mound Gavin Vrana went a strong 6 innings and was picked up by Lucas Roecker who pitched the last two innings to get the win. Varsity baseball has their first home game Thursday at Zirkel Field (McCarty Park) at 4:30 pm against Hartford again going for the season sweep of the Orioles.
