Ruh Fires Perfect Game

Mason Ruh gave up no hits or walks and struck out 14 of the 15 batters he faced in a perfect game effort, as the Vikings rolled to their 8th straight win, 14-0 over West Allis Central.

Ruh fanned the first six batters of the game before getting a groundout to the shortstop to start the top of the 3rd inning. He set down the remaining eight batters on strikes, needing just 62 pitches (47 of which were strikes) to complete the five-inning perfect game.

Meanwhile, the Wisco bats were red-hot. Nine different players picked up hits and nine different Vikings drown in runs as the team tallied in all four of its at-bats. Carlos Walta led the team with 3 RBI on a day that saw him go 2-3 with a walk at the plate. Eddie Rynders drove in two runs and was 2-2 at the dish, and Ruh drew a pair of bases-loaded walks to help his own cause.

The Vikings will go for their 9th consecutive win when they square off with Central again on June 2 at Belich Field. First pitch is set for 6:00 PM.
