Thanksgiving for Civil Rights Service

Today, we held our annual "Thanksgiving for Civil Rights" service to thank God for the civil rights movement and to ask his help in honoring our commitment to live out MLK's legacy. Pastor Carlos Leyrer, President of Divine Savior Ministries in Doral, Florida, gave the address. Vicente Janik (‘21) and Ouray Harper (‘21) read the Scriptural lessons. Pastor Leyrer called on us to listen, acknowledge, and act in ways that are God-pleasing, speaking out against wrongs and promoting racial healing. As a Christian school, we celebrate the unity that we all share in the Body of Christ and aim to be what God created us to be: light in this otherwise dark world.
