Lady Vikings Advance in Blowout
The Wisco girls basketball team won its opening-round playoff game in emphatic fashion, defeating Milwaukee Lutheran by a score of 82-49 on Tuesday night at WLHS.
The Lady Vikings opened up a 40-24 halftime lead and never looked back, outscoring the Red Knights 42-25 in the second half.
Jayla Rankin scored 20 points to lead four Vikings in double figures. Ally Rhyner added 14 points, Jazzmine Smith scored 11, and Laila Hamiel had 10 points.
With the win, the team advances to the regional semifinals. They travel to Whitefish Bay to face the Blue Dukes on Friday, February 12.
