Softball Smashes Shorewood
Everyone got in on the action on Friday afternoon, as the Wisco softball team routed Shorewood 17-1, in a five-inning game.
A massive first inning was all the Vikings would need on offense. The team sent 17 batters to the plate and banged out 13 hits while scoring 13 runs. Melissa Tonn, Eden Rader, Leah Pinnow, and Emily Buch all doubled twice during the inning and drove in 8 of the team's runs.
Buch was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. Lauren Braatz went 3-4 and drove in a pair. Tonn and Kylie Bilitz led the team in RBI with 3 apiece. Eight different Vikings enjoyed multi-hit games.
Tonn went 1.1 innings on the mound before being relieved by Buch, who closed things out by allowing just 1 hit and 1 run while striking out 7 over 3.2 innings.
The Vikings host New Berlin West at WLC on Saturday, May 15.
