Golf Begins Conference Meet
The Viking golf team began the Woodland Conference's 27-hole championship on Tuesday, competing at the Mega-Mini (all 13 conference teams; 9 holes) held at Ironwood Golf Course.
The team shot a 199 on the first day of competition, good for 7th place with 18 holes yet to play. Sam Olson and Tim Valerio each shot 47 to lead the team. Nathan Riel fired a 50 and Bryce Frey shot a 55.
The conference championship concludes with 18 holes at the Washington County Golf Course on Tuesday, May 25.
