Baseball Sweeps Lions to Win Sixth Straight

A dominant outing from Mason Ruh and some timely two-out hitting powered the Wisco baseball team to its sixth straight victory on Saturday, a 6-2 triumph over New Berlin Eisenhower. The Vikings were the designated home team, although the game was played at Eisenhower immediately after Friday's rain-suspended game was completed.

Ruh was in control from the start, allowing no earned runs while striking out 13 and giving up just 3 hits while going the distance on 99 pitches. Logan Abramowski got the offense started in the bottom of the 1st, doubling in Eddie Rynders with the team's first run and eventually scoring on a wild pitch himself. Wisco kept the Lions at bay with two-out run production the rest of the way. Jake Ross picked up an RBI double with two out in the 3rd and a two-out, RBI single in the 5th. Ruh singled in a run for himself with two down in the 5th, and Abramowski brought in one more run with a sac fly in the 6th.

The win gives the Vikings six in a row. They will look to keep the streak going when they host Pius at the WLC fields on Wednesday, May 26. First pitch is set for 4:45 PM.
