Semifinalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program Announced
Congratulations to Benjamin Doer ('22), Kwangie Sa ('22), and Nicholas Johnston ('22) (pictured right to left) recently named semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Less than 1% of the 1.5 million juniors nationwide who enter this competition are selected—Benjamin, Kwangje, and Nicholas are in rare company.
In addition to earning a high score on the Merit Qualifying Test, Merit Scholar semifinalists are chosen based upon a detailed application that provides evidence of leadership, community activities, service, essay writing proficiency, and his or her school’s recommendation.
Benjamin, Nicholas, and Kwangje are now eligible for selection to the Finalist level and will be notified in February if they have advanced. To God be the glory for these distinguished accomplishments.
