Vikings Rout Cudahy in Homecoming Win

The Wisco football team captured its third consecutive victory with a 56-8 drubbing of Cudahy on Friday night at Raabe Stadium.

A number of big plays helped power the Vikings to victory. Five of their eight touchdowns came on plays of 30 yards or more. Kamarion Burbridge opened the scoring with a 50-yard touchdown run. Zach Tipton connected with Brendan Lane for a 32-yard TD pass. Tipton added a 56-yard scoring rush later while Lane returned a punt for a 40-yard score as part of a 28-point second quarter for Wisco. Blake Wetzel closed the scoring with a 56-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.

Additional TDs were scored by Will Hotchkiss (9-yard reception from Tipton), Sean Minor (9-yard rush), and Burbridge (8-yard rush). Micah Koschnitzke kicked all eight extra points and intercepted a pass on defense. Aaron Ross and Wes Sundholm led the defensive effort with seven tackles apiece.

The win came on the Vikings' homecoming night. The team's record is now 6-2 on the year. They close out the regular season with a trip to Whitnall on Thursday, October 14.
