Vikings Dominate Owls, Advance to Regional Final

The Wisco girls basketball team cruised to a road victory in the WIAA regional semifinals, crushing Milwaukee Golda Meir by a score of 74-28.

The Vikings' pressure caused problems for the Owls, as the visitors opened up a 20-6 lead midway through the first half. Wisco then removed any doubt about the outcome with a 34-6 run to end the half, as they headed to the locker room up 54-12.

Jayla Rankin and Noel Greene led the team with 14 points and 12 points, respectively - with each of them doing all their scoring in the first half. Kenly Frey scored 10 points, Laila Hamiel added 8, and Jazz Smith and Eden Rader scored 6 apiece.

With the victory, the Vikings advance to the regional final on Saturday night. They travel to Pius XI to take on the Lady Popes in a 7 PM contest.
