Baseball Drops Game to Greendale

The Greendale Panthers slipped by the Vikings on the baseball diamond by a score of 9-6 on Tuesday afternoon. Five runs in the first three innings gave the visitors a lead that Wisco was able to trim, but never overcome.

Ryder Derouin helped cut into the Greendale lead with a two-run home run in the bottom of the third. Lucas Oswald later scored on a wild pitch to narrow the gap to 5-3. But the Panthers answered with a pair of runs in the fifth. They extended the lead to 9-4 in the seventh. Carlos Walta's second RBI and Isaiah Johnston's run-scoring single in the bottom of the inning cut the lead to 9-6, but the Vikings could not put any more runs on the board.

The team travels to Greendale for a rematch on May 11.
