Student Homes Trip to Camp Phillip

Get a glimpse of the annual Student Homes Camp Phillip trip through the eyes of our student Lynn from Kunming, China!
My name is Lynn and I am an eleventh grade returner at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. This is the second year of my high school life in United States. This year, our annual trip to Camp Phillip was on our second weekend of school—August 25th, 26th, and 27th. I have found some differences of this year’s Camp Philip with the last one. The first night we arrived was really a funny night because we had a bonfire. On the following days, we played several games. The most impressive one was the low ropes team building game called, “Eight”. For this game, we had to hold our hands together and try to move around like an eight. The only thing we need to take care of was to hold hands all the time and try to make it as fast as we can. During the time, we tried so many times; I am sure it was not less than ten times. But in the end, we made it as a huge group in a small amount of time—fifteen people with thirty-eight minutes. At the time we built each other up and we could easily see that everyone was trying their best. We were so proud of ourselves during that time. Another thing I have to mention is the spiritual development we experienced at Camp Phillip. Every day before meals, we would sing a song of praise to God as well as we would pray.
