2017 WELS National Choral Festival
For the past half century, thousands of young Christian men and women have had the blessing of participating in the WELS Choral Festival. Luther High School, host of the 1st, 10th, 25th, and 35th Choral Festivals now warmly invites all to the 50th anniversary festival. Past participants are also invited to participate in a special alumni choir. The Pops Concert will be held Friday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m., and the Sacred Concert will be held Sunday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. This event will be held in the main arena of the La Crosse Center (300 Harborview Plaza, LaCrosse, Wis.) where there is seating for over 3,000.
The theme, God's Word is Our Great Heritage, will feature favorite Choral Festival anthems from the past five decades, commissioned works by composers Dale Witte and Sarah Siegler, and a Choral Festival alumni choir. Guest clinicians this year are Mr. Jim Grasby, Ms. Sarah Henrich, and Mr. Dan Larson.
