Viking Christian Leaders: Peace
Congratulations to Ingrid Buschkopf ('22) and Eli Lepke ('23) who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of December under “The Wisco Way Word": Peace. We thank God for the way Ingrid and Eli have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leadership Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Ingrid is from West Allis, Wisconsin. She is a member at St. John’s in Milwaukee, where she also attended grade school.
Currently a senior at Wisco, Ingrid has participated in Cross Country, Track, Winter Running Club, Inspiration, Viking Steel, Pit Orchestra, Student Council, WWW, NHS, Page Turners, Viking Christian Leadership Academy, and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (Senior Symphony, Chamber Orchestra, and Davidson Chamber Ensemble Program).

Ingrid volunteers in the community by helping with Hunger Task Force. She has also played violin for church services and helped with the church slideshow.
In her spare time, Ingrid enjoys spending time with friends, playing violin, singing, reading, and making weird noises.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Ingrid plans to major in Violin Performance.
Ingrid characterizes peace in Christian leadership as knowing the unchanging hope that we have because of what Christ has done for us, carrying that into every situation.
Eli is from New Berlin, Wisconsin. He is a member at St. Paul’s in Muskego, where he also attended grade school.
Currently a junior at Wisco, Eli has participated in baseball, soccer, futsal, churchball, and Wisco Witnesses in the World.
Eli has volunteered as an usher at his church.
In his spare time, Eli enjoys hanging out with friends, playing sports, going on family vacations, and teaching himself how to play guitar.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Eli wants to become a firefighter and plans to go into the cadet program for the Milwaukee Fire Department.
Eli characterizes peace in Christian leadership as staying calm about situations going on in life, focusing on what’s best for the people around you, and making sure that people won’t feel nervous to talk to you about anything.
