Congratulations to our seniors Tommy Doerr, Amos Ebeling, and John Torres-Stewart who have advanced to National Merit Finalist standing. Tommy, Amos, and John are now in the top ten percent of the more than 1.5 million students who initially entered the National Merit Scholarship Competition their junior year.
This past fall, Tommy, Amos, and John's qualifying scores moved them to semifinalist status granted to just 16,000 students out of 1.5 million. To compete as a Finalist, these students submitted their ACT scores, high school transcripts, extra-curricular and volunteer activities, and a self-descriptive essay. We praise God that these scholars are now three of the 15,000 Finalists who will receive a Merit Scholarship Award and are eligible for one of the National Merit Scholarships. Well done and God be praised!
