Forensics Team Captures a Winning Season

For the 2024-25 school year, sixteen WLHS students joined the Forensics team, with thirteen actively competing. The team grew in skill and confidence over the course of multiple competitions, earning individual recognition, team trophies, and an impressive showing at the State festival. Season highlights include:
Polar Plunge Festival, Lake Geneva - January 25
  • nine blue ribbons, three red ribbons
Westosha Central Festival - February 3
  • four perfect score medals
  • two blue ribbons, three red ribbons
Union Grove Tournament - February 8
  • two individual trophies (second & third place)
  • team award: third place – small team
SubDistrict Festival (Virtual) - February 15
  • entire team advanced to District
Friday Night Lights Tournament, Muskego - March 7
  • two first place, two second place, two fourth place
  • team award: first place – small team
  • second overall out of 13 teams
District Festival, Westosha Central - March 16
  • 12 out of 13 students qualified for State
State Festival - April 12
  • five gold medals (perfect scores)
  • five silver medals
  • one bronze medal
The growth, teamwork, and God-given excellence that our students displayed this season is truly a blessing and an achievement to be proud of. Their State success is a reflection of months of preparation and a passion for public speaking.
