Hands-On Learning in Construction Skills Class

The final project in Mr. Joel Radue’s Construction Skills class is more than just an assignment—it’s a full-scale, real-world experience. Students design and build storage sheds from the ground up at the homes of WLHS alumni and friends who commission their work. From drafting blueprints to installing shingles, each shed is 100% student built. Along the way, students gain valuable knowledge about building codes, wall framing, siding options, and the importance of teamwork—all while putting their skills into action.
