Students Honored at Milwaukee Sports Awards
Congratulations to our boys basketball team and Sydney Vitangcol ('25), who were recognized at the Milwaukee High School Sports Awards on June 18!
Our boys basketball team earned the prestigious Boys Team of the Year award, presented by Piggly Wiggly. Despite moving up to Division 1, the Vikings made history as the first boys basketball program to win back-to-back state titles after previously claiming the Division 2 championship.
Sydney Vitangcol was named Softball Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons. The University of Wisconsin commit dominated in the circle this year, recording 254 strikeouts and allowing just 17 runs all season. She finishes her WLHS career with 1,000 strikeouts, 57 wins, and an ERA under 1.00 over 460 innings.
