If you've been around Wisco long enough, you’ve probably heard the legendary joke about our pool on the 3rd floor. (Yes… that pool—the one that doesn’t actually exist!) But this year, the joke finally has a twist: Wisco officially has boys swimming!
We are excited to share that WLHS has joined the Greenfield/Greendale/Pius co-op, allowing us to offer boys swimming for the first time in school history. Three Wisco students are part of this year’s 12-member roster. The co-op competes in Division 1, and last season sent four swimmers to the state meet—an exciting tradition our athletes now get to be part of.
The team is coached by Mr. Mark Schrank, Mr. Dom Garcia, and Mrs. Kaitlin Hernandez, with daily practices held at Greenfield High School. The season is already off to a strong start!
First Meet: Wednesday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. Location: Greenfield High School Natatorium (4800 S. 60th Street, Greenfield) Tickets: $6 — Purchase here
Come cheer on our Viking swimmers—and enjoy the fact that while the 3rd-floor pool is still a running joke, Wisco swimming is now the real deal!
