Departing WLHS Staff

At the end of the 2024-25 school year, WLHS said farewell to some outstanding staff members. What an impact these faithful servants have made on our Wisco students. We wish them God's blessings on their next endeavors!

Dr. Stacy Bitter (2022-2025)
Dr. Stacy Bitter served in the English department, teaching American Literature 2 with passion and care. She and her husband, Pastor Bitter, are moving to Las Vegas where they will begin new ministry roles at Water of Life Lutheran Church. Dr. Bitter will take on the role of Early Childhood Director.
Mrs. Polly Lambrecht (2012-2025)
Mrs. Polly Lambrecht served in a variety of roles at Wisco, including in the library and the attendance office. Her passion for reading has been evident through her involvement in Pageturners, the 30-Book Challenge, and most recently, by leading this year’s Battle of the Books competition. We’re grateful for the creativity and enthusiasm she brought to each of these programs.

Mr. James Brandt (2018-2025)
Mr. James Brandt served as the first academic dean at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the academic experience for both students and teachers. He was instrumental in developing the plan that allowed us to safely reopen for in-person learning following the pandemic closure. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Brandt championed student-centered learning and helped foster a culture of growth through teacher mentoring and coaching. Mr. Brandt and his wife, Kathy, will be moving to Thailand where he will be the Asia Ministry Team One leader.

Mrs. Angie Livingston (2021-2025)

Mrs. Angie Livingston is leaving Wisco as she transitions into the next phase of her life. During her time at Wisco, she played a key role in expanding the ProStart program, including the addition of the ProStart 2 course. She also introduced students to culinary competitions, which provided valuable, hands-on experiences and opportunities for our students to shine.

Mrs. Denyse Schumacher (1992-2025)
Mrs. Denyse Schumacher has worn many hats during her time at Wisco—supporting students in the Stewards Lab, lending her sharp eye to writing and editing, assisting in our technology department, and most recently managing our school’s database system and serving as our registrar with care and precision. We are grateful that she will provide assistance to transition the next registrar—yet another example of her steady support and servant-hearted leadership.

Mr. Kyle Buch (2023-2025)
Mr. Buch has stepped away from his role as commons supervisor to return to school at Bethany Lutheran College where he will pursue studies in pastoral ministry.

Mr. Sam Engel (2023-2025)
Mr. Sam Engel faithfully served as our dorm supervisor for the past two years while attending Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Sam received his vicar assignment to Christ Alone Lutheran Church in Keller, Texas—a significant milestone as he continues his path toward pastoral ministry.

Mr. Jonas Landwehr (2024-2025)
Mr. Jonas Landwehr filled various important roles during his time at WLHS as Latin instructor, dorm supervisor, chess team leader, and assistant coach of the Viking Claybreakers. Mr. Landwehr received his vicar assignment to Santísima Trinidad in Medellín, Colombia, where he will continue his ministry journey.
