Late Start Wednesdays Begin August 20
To provide a consistent time for teachers and departments to collaborate and grow professionally, WLHS will follow a teacher collaboration schedule on Wednesdays during the 2025–26 school year. Beginning Wednesday, August 20, and continuing each Wednesday through May 13, teachers will meet from 7:30–8:15 a.m., with first period starting at 8:45 a.m.

- The front door will open at 7:00 a.m. for students who must arrive early due to transportation or family schedules.
- For safety, do not cross the Glenview Avenue parking lot entrance. Students parking on Glenview Avenue or walking from the water tower lot should use the sidewalk past Zeitler Stadium and cross the lot at the end of the sidewalk.
- The visitor entrance and Door 18 will open at 8:00 a.m. to provide a safer walking route.
- Before first period, students must report to the cafeteria or library for a monitored study time.
This schedule helps us overcome the challenge of finding a common meeting time for faculty who also coach and supervise before- and after-school activities. By setting aside this time, we can strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and further enhance academic rigor for our students.
