Both the Wisconsin Lutheran High School Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams represented Wisco proudly at the 2025 WIAA State Cross Country Championships in Wisconsin Rapids on November 1.
The Girls Cross Country Team qualified by finishing as the WIAA Sectional 9 Runner-Up, marking the second time in three years and the sixteenth time in the last twenty-two years that Wisco has advanced to the state meet.
Competing in a very strong Division 1 field, the Lady Vikings—Senior Annalise Kuehn, Juniors Ana Buske and Lydia Stroh, Sophomores Reina Ebeling, Iona Kuehn, Eliza Shiels, and Lexi Goede, with Freshman Kyra Obermeyer serving as alternate—finished 12th out of 20 teams, led by Ebeling (28th in team points) and Kuehn (30th in team points).
On the boys’ side, the Vikings concluded an impressive season by finishing 13th overall in the large-school division. The 2025 campaign included a conference championship, a sectional title, and the program’s 14th state qualification in the past 16 seasons—a remarkable testament to consistency and hard work. Competing at state were Seniors Sean MIller, Tom Moldenhauer, and Stone Smith, Juniors Nico Carter and Dylan Peterson, Sophomores Gabe Hernandez and Ryan Williams, and Freshman Cal Moldenhauer.
Congratulations to both teams and coaches for their outstanding performances and dedication throughout the season. To God be the glory!
