Christmas spirit filled the festively decorated halls of WLHS throughout the month of December. During our annual Spirit of the Season Week, students dressed in cozy Christmas pajamas, portrayed their favorite Christmas movie characters, and even celebrated out-of-season holidays with creative themed outfits. They also enjoyed hot cocoa, Christmas cookie decorating, and a holiday movie afternoon.
The celebrations continued through the arts, as our fine arts department presented several Christmas concerts that brought beautiful music to our campus. Each Monday, chapel services highlighted a different Advent theme, helping us reflect on the true meaning of the season.
The month concluded with our Service of Lessons and Carols on December 16, featuring Scripture readings, hymns, and musical selections from our choirs and instrumentalists. Click here to watch a recording of the Lessons and Carols service.
