Vikings Claim Conference Title

Wisconsin Lutheran jumped on New Berlin Eisenhower early and often Friday night en route to an 80-33 win, which clinched them a share of the 23rd conference championship in program history.

The Vikings connected on 11 of their first 17 shots while holding the Lions to 2-13 shooting and forcing six turnovers over that same span to open up a 29-5 lead. An 18-4 run that spanned the halftime break put them up 52-13 one minute in the second half and removed whatever doubt may have remained about the outcome.

Kon Knueppel was a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc, part of a 16-point effort to lead all scorers. Prentice Young added 13 points to go along with four rebounds and a team-high four assists and five steals. Jamiir Allen matched Young with five steals and scored nine points. Jordan Glenn also scored nine points and handed out three assists. Wisco outscored Eisenhower 25-0 in transition and took advantage of 20 steals on the night to enjoy a 27-4 edge in points off turnovers.

More stats are available here. The Vikings will learn their postseason bracket on Sunday and close the regular season on Wednesday, February 23 when they host South Milwaukee in a final Woodland crossover game.
