American Mentors & International Students Enjoy Ice Skating Night
American Mentors and new international students enjoyed a fun evening of ice skating at the Pettit National Ice Center on December 3. Students spent the night building friendships, sharing laughs, and supporting one another on the ice—whether they were seasoned skaters or trying it for the first time.
The American Mentor to New International Student Program at WLHS pairs American students with new international students during the international students' first year at Wisco, helping them adjust to life away from home through friendship, guidance, and community. Monthly activities create opportunities for cultural sharing, holiday celebrations, food, traditions, and games.
A caring mentor can make a meaningful difference in the success and happiness of a new international student—and events like this one highlight the joy of those connections. Thank you to all who participated and helped make the evening a warm and memorable experience!
