Congratulations to Stephanie Lee ('24) and Joey Merrill ('23), who were selected as Viking Christian Leaders for the month of March under “The Wisco Way Word": Humility. We thank God for the way Stephanie and Joey have modeled servant leadership at school and in the community. Any student or staff member may nominate a student for the Viking Christian Leaders Award which is presented each month to one young man and one young woman.
Stephanie is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attends New Covenant Missionary Church. She went to grade school at Blessed Savior West.
Currently a junior at Wisco, Stephanie has participated in track and field, Art Club, Drama Club, Cooking Club, Culture Club, and Kindness Crew.
Stephanie has volunteered at her church by singing for services.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys drawing, listening to music, and running.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Stephanie is planning on going to college and majoring in either Law or Business.
Stephanie characterizes humility in Christian leadership as being who you are but being humble about it and encouraging others.
Joey is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he attends Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee. He went to grade school at Milwaukee School of Languages.
Currently a senior at Wisco, Joey has participated in cross country and track.
Joey has participated in the youth group at his church and volunteered in the community.
In his spare time, Joey enjoys listening to music, fishing, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
After graduation from Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Joey plans on attending Cedarville University in Ohio for Mechanical Engineering.
Joey characterizes humility in Christian leadership as doing things to glorify God without boasting about it.
