Pewaukee Steals Victory From Vikings

The Wisco softball team took an early lead but couldn't make it stand up, falling 8-5 to Pewaukee in Woodland Conference action at McCarty Park. The Pirates stole ten bases in claiming the win.
The Vikings took an early lead in the second inning when Alyssa Kieselhorst drew a bases-loaded walk, bringing in one run.

Pewaukee took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning, with two of them scoring on a wild pitch.

The Pirates added three more runs in the fifth inning. Their offense was led by Madison Knitter, Jenna Brandl, and Kaydin Bruner, all driving in runs in the frame.

Jena Hicks was credited with the victory for Pewaukee. She allowed eight hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.

Maggie Johnston took the loss for Wisco. She went the full seven innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while striking out six.

Evah Pinnow led the Vikings with four hits in four at bats.

Pewaukee had 11 hits in the game. Maddie Wilkey, Knitter, and Brandl all collected multiple hits for the Pirates. Wilkey went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead them in hits. Three Pirates stole multiple bases in the game.
