West strung together five consecutive two-out hits in the top of the first to take a 5-0 lead and then opened up the floodgates with a nine-run second inning.
Reagan Derouin continued to show a good eye at the plate, drawing two walks for the second straight game. She came around to score the Vikings' lone run in the bottom of the third. Melissa Tonn threw two scoreless innings of relief in her first appearance on the mound this season.
