With runners on second and third in the bottom of the 1st inning, Evah Pinnow opened the scoring for Wisco with a sacrifice fly to score Reagan Derouin. After a single by Melissa Tonn, Leah Pinnow doubled to right to drive in Tonn and Kimmie Wandschneider. Julia Treichel followed with an RBI single to make it a 4-0 game. The Vikings plated runs on a wild pitch and a Shorewood error in the 2nd, and scored three more times in the 3rd. Lauren Braatz squeezed in a run on a bunt single and scored on another Greyhound wild pitch, and Alyssa Kieselhorst drove in the Vikings' final run of the game with an RBI groundout.

Some errors in the late innings turned a 9-1 laugher into a closer game, but Johnston closed out Shorewood in the 7th to earn the complete game victory. She gave up just two earned runs and struck out four. Leah Pinnow's 3-for-4, 2 RBI game led the offense.
