St. John's Lutheran Church and School, Wauwatosa
St. John's Lutheran Church and School (7809 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa) were founded in 1882. The church has 1,200 members and the school enrollment is over 250 students. St. John's PreK-8 partnership with Wisco includes the various choral and musical groups of Wisco assisting in worship services, WLHS student-athlete reading buddies program, drama and musical performances, spelling bees, and forensic festivals.
Led by Pastor Joshua Yu, St. John’s also offers a thriving ministry to Chinese-speakers in the greater Milwaukee area. Some of our Chinese students attend Saturday night worship services at St. John’s where they can fellowship with other native speakers and grow in the Christian faith. In addition, Bible study, children’s Bible classes, and Christian discipleship and leadership training—all in Chinese—are available through this ministry.
