Welcome to the Newest Members of the Honey Creek Hall Dorm Staff
Mr. and Mrs. Elijah and Mariah Ehlert joined our staff as dorm supervisors. Elijah is in his final year at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, and recently moved back to Milwaukee from Colorado where he served as a vicar. From 2018-2019, Elijah was spiritual mentor at Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School in Wauwatosa and worked in landscaping prior to that. Elijah enjoys weightlifting, reading and traveling. Mariah is a recent graduate of UW-Whitewater, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She was a Resident Assistant at UW-Whitewater and a Workshop Supervisor at Roberta’s Avon Fiskum Art Gallery from 2017-2020. Mariah enjoys helping adolescents, cooking and writing music.
Mr. TJ McBryde is a 2020 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College, majoring in Secondary Education and Broad Field Social Studies. He is an alum of St. Croix Lutheran Academy where he lived in the dorm and developed a passion for cross-cultural outreach. TJ enjoys reading, running, swimming, hiking and spending time with family and friends. He will serve as a dormitory supervisor at Honey Creek Hall and as an instructor in our social studies department.
Ms. Ellen Smith is a part-time supervisor at Honey Creek Hall. Ellen was an English teacher for Friends of China and also served two years as an English teacher at Kunming Metallurgy College and a middle school art teacher at Wheatfield Art Training School in Kunming, China. Ellen is a 2018 Wisconsin Lutheran College graduate where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art. Ellen is a member at St. John’s in Christie, Wisconsin
