Boys Basketball Opens 2021 With Victory

The Wisco boys basketball team picked up in 2021 where they left off in 2020 - with a victory. The Vikings downed Greendale 70-49 on Tuesday night to move to 5-0 in Woodland Conference action and 9-0 overall.

Wisco never trailed in the game and went into the locker room up by 10 at halftime. After a Panther three-pointer trimmed the lead to 42-34, a 10-2 run by the Vikings gave them a comfortable cushion the rest of the way. Jordan Glenn helped spark the run on the defensive end, as three of his team-high five steals came during that stretch and led to transition points on the other end.

Glenn finished with 10 points to go along with those five steals. Joining him in double figures were Prentice Young (15 points, five rebounds), Isaiah Hopf (14 points), and Landon Key (11 points, five rebounds). Jonah Rindfleisch just missed double figures with eight points, but grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked three shots in the win.

More stats are available here. The Vikings host the Panthers at WLC on Friday, January 8.
