Vikings Improve to 10-0

The Wisco boys basketball team raised its record to 6-0 in conference play and 10-0 overall by defeating Greendale 70-56 on Friday night to complete a season sweep of the Panthers. The Vikings won despite shooting a season-low 14% from the three-point arc.

Jamiir Allen provided an important spark for Wisco before halftime. The sophomore scored eight of his season-high 13 points over the final 3:18 of the first half to help stretch the Vikings' advantage to 35-22 at the break. Jonah Rindfleisch's basket midway through the second half pushed the lead to 19 at 52-33. Greendale would connect several times from long distance to eventually trim the lead to nine, but the Vikings made 10 of 12 free throws down the stretch to keep the Panthers at bay.

Prentice Young matched his career-high at Wisco with 20 points. He added three steals and a team-high four assists. Rindfleisch tallied 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks, and Allen finished with four steals and three assists to go with his 13 points. The Vikings forced 20 turnovers while giving the ball away just six times themselves.
